It has been determined by the Match Committee that the hedge between the 18th green and the 10th tee is an integral part of the course and as such the rules of golf apply when you are unable to play from this area and have to take an unplayable lie. The Match committee has also agreed that we will follow the recommendation of the R and A and the USGA and implement the new local rule which takes away the penalty for a player, marker or caddie for accidentally moving or touching their ball on the putting green. This change came about with the penalty of Dustin Johnston in this years US Open when his ball moved without him seemingly causing it to. This new local rule will come into affect from the 1st of January 2017 and anyone wanting more information please see the Flyer opposite or the Pro Shop.
Thank you to all those who came to our Presentation dinner last Friday night. We enjoyed a fantastic meal, some great speeches and even better dancing!
There were some very bright outfits starting in the Pro Shop for our mens greenkeepers revenge day last Saturday. Thanks to Tom and Matty for setting up the course by all accounts everyone had a great day.
Just a reminder we start our mens modified tee times from Saturday 24th December through to Wednesday the 4th January. This means we are still playing a normal single stableford competition but we are only hitting off from the first tee between 6am and 12noon. As this is our peak social season we will be filling up any unused comp times for social players.
From all of us here in the Pro Shop we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!!
