It has been a very successful Christmas period despite the heat and lack of rain with our men’s and ladies field sizes staying incredibly high. We are addressing the fact that the majority of new members want to play in the morning which means the early groups run into the end of the morning field resulting in a very slow second nine. I have reduced the morning field by 2 groups which will make a huge difference to pace of play and we will be doing our best to ensure that all morning groups are in fours so as not to reduce the numbers. If you do miss out there are still plenty of spots in the second session.
Mitchy has been down at the Murray River for the past week playing in the Rich River Trainee Championship. He played well having rounds of 2 over then 3 over to make the cut then he had 2 over in the third round and 5 over in the final round to finish 44th. It was a great experience for him travelling down and playing all for rounds.
The shop’s looking good with the new carpet and we will soon have our new counter to the right of the shop as you walk in. This will be the golf side and where the existing counter is will be the food and coffee side with one of the trained Barrister’s coming down from upstairs in the morn-ings to look after you.
