During the month of October we continued with our maintenance projects with the trees and rubbish pick up.
Tree maintenance and undercutting has continued with low and wind dam-aged branches removed, including the cutting up of fallen timber into man-ageable sizes for wood splitting.
Our firewood preparation has continued and our supply for next year is promising to be our best.
All the hedges are steadily being maintained as required. The tibouchinas between the 1st and 10th tees have been trimmed, fertilized and treated with seasol in preparation for the summer months. Gardens have been watered as the hotter weather sets in. Mandevilleas have been fertilized, Streletzias have been dead headed.
General garden maintenance has continued with gardens at the 12th, 2nd, 6th, 18th weeded and trimmed and the BBQ garden has been refreshed with new plants, gardens have been mulched. The vertical wall garden at the 1st tee has been refreshed with a new wall and is ready for new plants to be installed.
Weed removal from the 3rd dam has continued with that area looking no-ticeably better.
Tidying up has continued around the clubhouse and 1st and 10th tees. Tidying the car parks has continued as well as clubhouse maintenance as required. A big thank you to our members who have donated plants this month, they have been placed in the BBQ garden or in the 14th green space. Our thanks go to “Barto” for our sumptuous morning teas that he supplies every Monday Morning and many thanks to our supporting mem-bers for donations of plants and cash to support our projects. F-Troop meets at the green keepers shed at 7.00am on most Monday mornings with morning tea approximately 10.30am. Feel free to join us if you have 3 hours or so of time to volunteer your assistance. Casual helpers are also welcomed.
