Into the swing of it for 2016

It’s now May and we should all be well into the swing of it for 2016.

The NSW 4BBB v Par qualifying round was played in April and congratulations go to the two qualifying teams of Sheena Asken with Leanne Binns and Kay Frewin with Helen Smith. Well done ladies and good luck in October in the District final.

Pennants is well under way, and it is so good to see one of our teams, Banksia, doing so well and currently undefeated. Wattle is definitely showing good potential. Well done ladies and keep up the good work in the rounds to come.

I hope you have all noticed the widening of some of the fairways on the front nine. This has been done for all members, but specifically for the Ladies. The back nine will follow suit in the next couple of weeks. Thanks go to Club Captain Mark Stimpson and greenkeeper David for their cooperation and initiative in this undertaking.

There are sheets out in the Ladies locker room for some upcoming events. They are – Singles Knockout, President v Captain’s Day, Gosford Bowl, Bronze Salver and Long Markers’ Trophy Day, and soon to be followed by Foursomes Championships. Please take the time to go in and put your name down. Your support is integral to the success of these events.
