The great Bill Dunk once gave me a tip which was “hit past yourself”. What he meant by this swing thought was to make sure your arms and the club goes past your chest through impact which allows you to release the club thus allowing you to draw the ball. I played with Ted Roberts last Wednesday and all of his bad shots came when he opened his hips and shoulders up through the ball which caused the ball to block to the left as he is left hander. When he kept his shoulders squarer through the ball he allowed the club to release there for hitting a beautiful draw. So if you are having trouble hitting a draw try hitting it like Bill and you too may win 5 Australian PGA titles.
