The January heat wave conditions tested out the course and gardens – not to mention the F-Troopers. The 7.00am start always seems like a good idea dur-ing these hot months so we can finish before the heat sets in.
We have had a good number of volunteers donating their time and have aver-aged 12/13 members every week which is a big help.
After our Christmas holiday break there has been a lot of rubbish pick up done around the course and including a clean up behind the clubhouse and along the school drain. Repainting of the parking area has been done where re-quired. Hedge maintenance has continued and trimming of shrubs in the front gardens. Tree maintenance has also continued.
Watering has been a big issue and we have done as much as we could to keep the parched gardens alive as well as keeping the potted plants maintained.
There have been repairs to signs and plumbing work has been done when required. Some more weed removal was done on the 3rd dam.
Weeding of gardens and maintenance of the agapanthus gardens have com-menced.
Our thanks go to “Barto” for supplying our morning tea that he supplies every Monday Morning and many thanks to our supporting members for donations of plants and cash to support our projects.
F-Troop meets at the green keepers shed at 7.00am on most Monday morn-ings with morning tea approximately 10.30am. Feel free to join us if you have 3 hours or so of time to volunteer your assistance. Casual helpers are also welcomed.
