Many club golfers feel that in order to get their weight onto their right foot at the top of the back swing they must sway their hips back with the club. The problem with this move is that it causes your spine to tilt towards your left leg causing a reverse pivot. The correct hip movement is to move your hip to the target as you take to club back away from the ball which will ensure that your spine will be behind the ball at the top of the backswing and will then allow you to move to your left side through the ball thus fixing your slice and producing longer straighter shots.
