Bring on the warmer weather but all in all it has been a rather mild winter. The competition field sizes has been increased now that the days are getting longer.
At a recent meeting of the match Committee the following decisions have been made.
- Scratch prizes. All medal events a scratch prize will be awarded in grades. For all other events a scratch prize will be awarded over the field.
- Medley Competitions. According to the by laws of the club a competition must have at least 10 players. In recent times there have been a number of ladies playing in the Wednesdayand Saturday competitions. If insufficient numbers to form an individual completion these players will compete in the ball competition and may compete in the team event. The number has now been revised to 7 to form a competition.
- Sunday Mixed Team Competitions . All team competitions to be eligible to win the team prize all teams must comprise of at least one lady member. All other players will compete in the Individual events.
The annual Captains versus Presidents day is scheduled for Sunday 13th August. Just a reminder the Captains team wears blue and the Presidents team wears red. The teams appear on the timesheet are the first two are on the Captains side and the other two are on the Presidents side.
The Holden Scramble has been deferred until later in the year .
Members are advised that the care and attention of our golf course rests with the members. There have been numerous complaints regarding raking of bunkers, repairing of divots on the greens and the fairways. When raking bunkers please leave the bunker in a better state when you entered it. Place the rake in the centre of the bunker with the handle facing the hole. Please always carry a sand bucket and a divot repairer for the greens.
