Around the course
- Greens have been cut at 3mm and rolled. Members will note that the greens are the quickest and best they have been for some time. Congratulations must go to Dave and his staff
- New bunker rakes have been purchased and placed in all bunkers. These rakes are specifically made for the raking of bunkers.
- A new bunker tractor has been purchased and members will note the consistency of sand in all bunkers as a result of this purchase.
- It has been noted that some members are practicing on the course in non competition times. When practicing on the course please take a sand bucket and report to the pro shop before going on the course. I was disappointed to play the course on Friday and found unrepaired divots on a number of holes, especially three divots within 150 mm of each other. Please take care of your course.
Slow Play
There have been a number of instances where members have not acted appropriately. Members are advised that if they have problems regarding slow ply they should report this to the Pro Shop where all necessary action will be taken.
When on the course members are reminded of the following
- Please repair all divots on the greens,
- Please take a sand bucket
- Please rake the bunkers and leave the rakes in the middle of the bunkers
- Please keep up with the group in front
- Please stick to the ready golf principles
- Please do not drive carts in arears where they are prohibited.
Use Of Carts
All cart users have been issued a note when hiring carts of the correct use of carts. One major issue is that members are not keeping outside the 10 metres from the edge of the greens. For those members that store their carts on course or bring them to the course please get a copy of the note from the Pro Shop This relates to the back of greens especially the 16th and 18th Greens. We have a number of instances where carts have been driven onto tees which is strictly not permitted.
