We had better working weather in May but the early mornings are a little chilly. We have continued with our paving projects with the pavers finished on the wedding garden path and also on the paths and gardens in the green space at the 14th.
Loose timber and rubbish pickup has continued including raking up of the fallen autumn leaves which cause a problem with lost balls.
Tree maintenance has continued around the course when possible.
Mulch has been going out on the gardens at the wedding garden and the 14th green space.
Hedge maintenance has continued and trimming of shrubs where necessary. The new hedge at the 4th tee has been lifted to a higher position to prevent it getting stressed.
Gardening maintenance has continued with weed removal and special attention made to the front gardens and Wedding Garden. More donated plants have been added to the 14th green space including a huge supply of clivea plants donated by Owen James. The BBQ area has continued to be maintained.
Some more weed removal was done on the fairways.
A big thank you goes to our supporting members who have donated cash and plants for our gardens so that we can continue with our various projects.
Firewood orders are coming in at a steady rate so if members require firewood for this winter, do get your orders in to Peter Martin to avoid disappointment.
Our thanks go to “Barto” for supplying our morning tea that he supplies every Monday Morning.
F-Troop meets at the green keepers shed at 7.00am on most Monday mornings with morning tea approximately 10.15am. Feel free to join us if you have 3 hours or so of time to volunteer your assistance. Casual helpers are also welcomed.
