F-TROOP REPORT – September 2016
During the month of September we had to deal with a lot of wind damage that has continued for most of the month which has made our rubbish pick up duties daunting.
Tree maintenance and undercutting has continued with dangerous trees and wind damaged branches removed, including the up of cutting fallen timber into manageable sizes for wood splitting. Our wood splitting ma-chine has proved to be very efficient and we are stocking up for next year’s firewood sales.
All the hedges are steadily being maintained as required. Wind damaged grevilleas have been trimmed along with the shrubs on the 6th and the ca-mellias at the 10th. Garden border edges at the 6th tee have been steadily maintained.
General garden maintenance has continued with gardens at the 17th dog leg garden being cleared of rubbish, the 6th tranquility garden repaired af-ter vandal damage, BBQ garden maintained and two garden seats re-placed, damaged succulent plants from a branch falling in the wedding garden transferred to the 14th green space, the front street garden has been maintained, 18th fenced garden has been mulched, some weed re-moval done from the 3rd dam, fireweed removal from around the course Tidying up has continued around the clubhouse and 1st and 10th tees. Tidying the car parks has continued as well as clubhouse maintenance as required.
A big thank you goes to Tony Robino for his donation of a large table and chairs for underneath the clubhouse.
Our thanks go to “Barto” for our sumptuous morning teas that he supplies every Monday Morning and many thanks to our supporting members for donations of plants and cash to support our projects.
