It’s been a very wet month with many of our competitions getting washed out or reduced in size but congratulations to Dave and his green staff as the course has held up and is looking better than ever. It was great to see all the Wyong ladies for their visit on Tuesday July 26th as I received a few extra kisses that day and they all said they enjoyed the course and had a great day. The other big event this past month was the Mixed Teams Series and a big congratulations to Fraser and Lyn Bates and Bruce and Leanne Binns for winning the teams on 101 points and with 37 points Wal Robertson won the men’s singles and with 38 points Julie
Hazzard won the ladies. A big thank you goes to Schweppes for sponsoring the day and the second round will be held on August the 28th sponsored by Srixon.
The entries are steadily coming in for the Holden Scramble which is on the 20th August with a 6.45am shotgun start. Entry fee is $50 which includes a Callaway cap, a 2 course lunch after the game, golf bags for the winners and a chance to play in the regional final at Kooindah Waters Resort then on to the national final at Twin Waters resort on the Sunshine Coast. To book in simply go onto the Holden scramble website, click onto schedule, scroll down to Gosford Golf Club and enter your details. I will get an email confirmation and then put your group onto the timesheet so get your team of four together and experience a great day.
Great Golfing!
